Sports Pitch Dimensions

The dimensions of sports pitches are usually dependant on 2 factors, the level of competition that will be played on the pitch and the age group of the players.

The governing bodies of each sport ie The FA, ECB, RFU and RFL give guidance and either specify what defines an acceptable pitch size by giving a range, or by giving an optimun pitch size that should be matched as closley as possible.

It is advisable to check with your league or competion rules to ensure your pitch complies, however, they are most likely to take a lead from the relevant governing bodies guidance.
