Performance Testing

TGMS is able to offer both field and laboratory based performance testing, through an accredited testing laboratory.
Performance testing can be carried out on newly completed facilities, firstly, to ensure that the facility has been built to the Client's specification, and secondly to demonstrate compliance with the specifications and the criteria stipulated by sports governing bodies.

The performance testing provided by TGMS meets the stringent specifications set out by sports governing bodies and / or European Standards, for example :

• FIFA 1 and 2 Star - as specified in "FIFA Quality Concept"
• FA  Artificial Pitches for Community Use
• International Artificial Turf Standard FIH Handbook of Requirements for Synthetic Hockey Surfaces - Outdoor

Tests carried out include -

• Vertical Ball Rebound
• Angle Ball Rebound
• Ball Roll
• Shock Absorption
• Rotational Resistance
• Linear Friction
• Stud Deceleration   

These tests are designed to examine the interactions between the ball / surface and the player / surface. Each sports governing body provides detailed specifications and testing criteria, which are availble via their website, see the addtional information section for links.
